Teaching Opportunities at Welch College

Full-Time Theology Teacher

The full-time salaried position is projected to begin Fall 2015.



  • PhD in Theology with New Testament emphasis from an accredited university, college, or seminary
  • MA in Theology or Religious Studies (M.Div. will also be considered)


  • The successful candidate will have a research and publishing agenda with future promise indicated by successful presentation of research in the following:
    1. 1. Published scholarly articles in appropriate refereed journals
      2. Presentation of theological papers at professional colloquia or symposiums

Ministry Experience

  • Pastoral ministry experience in Free Will Baptist churches and service on denominational and associational boards and committees

Teaching Experience

  • Collegiate teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Experience in evaluating course syllabi and grading graduate course rubrics
  • Experience in teaching Bible including Biblical interpretation, teaching theological topics including but not limited to: New Testament and Early Christian Studies, Biblical interpretation, ministry, religion, and systematic theology
