The annual Call-a-Thon is held in February. Welch College students call friends of the college to solicit a one-time, special offering.

The original Bowl 500 participants were Welch College students, faculty, staff, and Nashville area alumni. This event raises funds for institutional scholarships. Participants secure sponsors to raise funds. This event brings the college family together for fellowship, food, fun, fundraising, and friendly competition. North Carolina alumni and friends of the college meet for dinner at one of three regional locations (Morehead City, Greenville, and Garner) the week after Labor Day. This fundraising event is unique to the Northern Quarterly of Tennessee’s Cumberland Association. Every February, the Northern Quarterly churches and the college family come together for a special worship service at Pleasant View Christian School. The service usually features a college ministry team. The churches bring special offerings and celebrate the grand total announced at the event.
